Mat MotoGP race in Asia has the potential to grow. Following confirmation that states Dorna was talking to India and South Korea to hold a MotoGP race in the future.
As reported by the MCN, Dorna boss, Carmelo Ezpeleta had visited Buddh International Circuit at the beginning of last December held a discourse about MotoGP in 2013.
Ezpeleta also mentioned that a number of representatives of Dorna has visited South Korea last week to discuss a possible race at Korean International Circuit, located in 250 kilometers from the capital, Seoul.
With the talks means MotoGP has managed to attract more interest in the hope there will be a new series that will be added to the calendar.
Dorna also has reached an agreement to host MotoGP race to Texas, USA and Argentina in 2013 but the talks are moving forward about the possibility of racing in India, Ezpeleta confirmed that the format of 18 series will not be modified.
It added that some races will be dropped from the calendar so that half of the championship series could be held outside Europe. Estoril, Jerez and Catalunya likely to be abandoned following the economic crisis that hit Portugal and Spain.
