Early trials of the Year for Sharapova

The new year will be skipped Maria Sharapova with a little ominous, as he had suffered an ankle injury that required absence from the Brisbane International.

Brisbane International is a warm-up tournament ahead of convening the first Grand Slam in 2012, the Australian Open. The tournament is held at the Queensland Tennis Centre will be held on 2 to January 9.

Unfortunately one of the world's top women tennis players should be absent from this tournament ie Sharapova. Because of ankle injuries, athlete from Russia's beauty must rest to restore its condition.

"Unfortunately the conditions engkelku not 100 percent recovered and I can not perform this year (at Brisbane International)," said Sharapova in the tournament's official website reported by Reuters.

"I wish I could be ready to perform at this year's first Grand Slam (Australian Open) and I really want to compete in that field," said Sharapova.
