WBC orders Tarung Birthday Hopkins-Dawson

The match versus Chad Dawson Bernard Hopkins last October, which ended controversially, certainly held again. WBC Boxing Board ordered that the fight both boxers repeat them.

Reported by AFP on Tuesday (12.20.2011), the WBC's annual meeting, the decision was taken after the Hopkins-Dawson on October 15 last have been declared "no contest". Previously the referee had given the victory at Dawson after Hopkins collapsed in the second round.

Hopkins camp protested the decision because it considers the boxer nicknamed "The Executioner" was dropped not because his opponent's blows. He also kissed the canvas with the position of the body on one arm, so that direct injury to the shoulder.

With the cancellation of the match, Hopkins was still bearing the title of champion at light heavyweight.
